About Us
When Cyunity ("CY") was just an idea in 2017, we envisioned a platform that could leverage technology to empower users' continuously evolving needs and behaviors through interactions and connections among them. We hope that this open platform could provide equal opportunities and empower all for a better life.
Therefore, we created a 100% interactive mobile platform and provide a new type of engagement to enable users to discover, connect and learn about the products they consume while also connecting with topics of interest. Unlike the conventional search model implemented across the globe, CY engages its users through a personalized recommendation model and word of mouth recommendations.
Cyunity is a self-funded app that has came to fruition based on its passion, dreams, beliefs and goals.

My name is Prerna Bajaj and I am from India. I have a Computer Science Engineering degree and I am currently pursuing my MBA at UC Davis. Prior to my MBA I worked for a social media management company as a Product Support Engineer. In the three years of my experience, I gained knowledge on customer relationship management, social media advertising and marketing. With an MBA focused in Marketing I hope to make a difference with Cyunity as well as inspire more woman to join the business industry. In my pastime I love to bake, spend time with family and read.
Why Cyunity?
Wine has always been something I have been interested in. Cyunity gives me the opportunity to utilize my background in tech to explore the wine industry. It stood out to me because of the way it incorporates technology to connect wineries to their customers and provide the Napa Valley experience
through its features. My goal as a member of Cyunity is to help wineries grow their business in this digital age and make it the go-to app for all wine lovers. Cyunity offers me a chance to study consumer preferences and work on optimizing the app for better user experience. Overall, I am grateful for the opportunity Cyunity has given me and looking forward to a great journey ahead!
Mahima Rupakula

My name is Mahima Rupakula and I recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Chemical Engineer and a minor in Technology Management. During my time at UCD, I was a marketing manager for the on campus department centered around innovation and entrepreneurship called the Student Startup Center. Through this role, I picked up valuable Experience I’m dealing with startups and marketing campaigns. I also worked for the graduate school of management as a Campus ambassador, and am currently working on another venture as well. I am also a product management intern for a tech startup. Using my amalgam of startup and marketing skills, I hope to help Cyunity grow into a prominent force in the wine industry! In my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar and piano, singing, hiking, and dance.
Why Cyunity?
I’m very excited to officially be part of the Cyunity team! As a member of the youngest consumer segment for wineries/wine producers, I feel like there is a lack of representation within my age group in the world of wine. To me, wine has always been a method of conveying culture, knowledge, and craft. I have always been intrigued by the art behind wine making and hopefully can use my youthful perspective to help Cyunity achieve its unique goal of connecting wine lovers through a strong technology platform.
Christian
Orozco-hurtado

Founding Customer Relationships specialist
My name is Christian Orozco Hurtado, I grew up in St Helena, CA and am the fourth generation in the Napa Valley region. My family has been here since the 1920s working in the wine industry for 100 years now. I work in the wine hospitality industry and have also done some production work. My heart has always been in the wine industry. My biggest goal in life is to start my own wine label about my family and share their history in the Napa Valley from politics to wine over the lass 100 years.
Why Cyunity?
My biggest reason why I want to support Cyunity and dedicate my time is to help my cousin get Cyunity up and going, I remember three years ago it was just an idea he told me about. Another reason why I want to help is because Cyunity will help preserve family wineries and keep them around for generations to come. Cyunity will help wineries being forced to sell and also preserve our Napa Valley as much as we can. With Cyunity we can also help our community engage with locals, learn about events and help companies tell their story and help them grow. Cyunity will make tourism easier for visitors and locals to get around the Napa Valley and engage with the community. I really feel like Cyunity is going to be a helpful tool in the Napa Valley and the future of this region. As a founding team member I believe Cyunity will be the future for millennial engagement and tool for the future, while also preserving the Napa Valley as much as possible.
AlejandroOrozco

Founding Photo/video creator
My name is Alejandro Orozco, I am a creative Photographer/Videographer passionate about how storytelling and targeted messaging can create business-changing content. I attended the Napa valley College where my interest in photography and filming flourished. During my time in school I was able to work in both a winery, and photography studio; where I was able to embrace both styles of art that came from the winemaker creating a wine, and a photographer creating captivating images. Being part of Cy I hope to create a creative and novel approach to photography/videography comprehension with the view to developing a broad range of visual pieces to meet business and program objectives.
Why Cyunity?
It’s simple, Cyunity is a place that's driven by a new era of technology and social. I was really excited to take action by joining a place I have a full range of creativity. I firmly believe that in this day and age having a social platform/presence is needed for a business to strive, and Cy is the place to help elevate that. Creating this platform for the Napa Valley, not only will it help businesses such as wineries grow, but it will allow people visiting from various parts of the world to become part of our community. I’m really excited to see how well we can contribute to the younger generation of wine lovers, and help them discover their love for exploration, knowledge, and wine!
